West Ham United midfielder Kalvin Phillips was taken out of the firing line by his manager in midweek.
David Moyes chose not to select Phillips for their 1-1 draw against Tottenham.
The Manchester City star, who is on loan at the Hammers since January, has struggled to find his best form.
Teammate Tomas Soucek defended Phillips, stating: We are behind him, like everyone.
I am behind every player from our changing room, but especially for him it's quite tough. But he's a good guy, a good player. He just has to show it on the pitch."
I believe his time is coming," he added. He is showing this in training."
