Travis Kelce defends having ‘dad bod’ in swimsuit photos
David Butler II-USA TODAY Sports

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce seems to be enjoying the offseason based on his recent photos of him in the Bahamas with his girlfriend Taylor Swift. On the New Heights podcast, Kelce talked about having a “dad bod” and revealing his weight, which he claims is the same as his brother Jason Kelce.

“We’re in the same weight class now!” Travis Kelce told Jason who revealed he weighs 283 pounds. “It’s March!”

The NFL season doesn’t start until September, so Kelce has time to get back into shape. And with him helping the Chiefs win the Super Bowl for the third time in five seasons, Kelce and the rest of the players earned the right to let themsleves go for a small period of time.

Kelce had productive 2023 and will be a fist-ballott Hall of Famer once his career ends. The 34-year-old has been named to the Pro Bowl nine times and the All-Pro Team seven times. Kelce has played in four Super Bowls and has won three of them. He holds multiple NFL records, including most career postseason receptions (165) and most seasons with 1,000 receiving yards by a tight end (seven).

“I love everything about Travis,” NFL Hall of Fame tight end and Chiefs legned Tony Gonzalez told PopCulture.com last year. “What he does on the field, of course, but what he does off the field, his personality, the type of teammate he is. He wears it all out on his sleeve, and that’s inspirational to me. So I’m loving everything. And he shows no sign of slowing down. “

Travis Kelce talks opening new steakhouse

Along with enjoying his time off, Kelce is expanding his portfolio by opening a steakhouse with Patrick Mahomes called 1587 Prime. In a statement, Kelce said, “We’re excited to be a part of this journey with Noble 33 to create a one-of-a-kind dining experience, and what better place to start than our very own Kansas City.”

Mahomes shared what fans and locals can expect from the steakhouse. “Me and Travis have been working on that for a while. We’re always together. We’re always at these restaurants, and we have a love for bringing people together,” Mahomes said. “We’re going to do whatever we can to continue to bring people together and what better place than Kansas City.”
