Photo Shoot
What's good everyone? As usual, I had to fly back out west yesterday (you can see why I'm moving out here for a bit! The majority of my work for STX and Nike is out here) for a Nike photo shoot. It wasn't an awful flight actually, which I had expected, so that was definitely good news. Anyway, once I got out here I pretty much jumped right in bed, because we started the photo shoot at 6:45am this morning! It was a bit rough waking up, but it was worth it. The shoot was for SPARQ training, which is a form of training that is taking the country by storm. From running with parachutes, to resisted and assisted running, to ladder drills, to octogon drills, box jumps, and more! I asked one of the guys there to film with my yardbarker camera, but he was filming with his Nike one for the Nike site, but he did say he'd give me the video (kind of behind the scenes type deal) so I can throw it up there, so hopefully I'll get that soon. The shoot was DEFINITELY a lot more work then I thought it was going to be! It took about 6 hours, and we went through a load of different exercises and the photographer had to capture the angle just right, so we'd be doing one excercise for like 20 minutes straight! It seriously may very well have been one of the harder work outs I've had, just because of all the repetition. But I'm not complaining, being able to be associated with Nike has been a dream come true. I'd do it again right now if I had to (after an ice bath...). What impresses me most about Nike is definitely the type of people working for the company. I've done a handful of photo shoots with them now and each and eveytime I'm impressed with the passion, energy and kindness of their employees. It's an amazing working environment with out a doubt. I've got to fly back to NY tomorrow for a few clinics/demonstrations which will be filmed, so I'm excited for that. Being from Baltimore, I never really got up to New York too much as a little guy so it's always nice to get in there for a few days. I've got a couple quick questions from a few things I was think about and reading about on the plane... One, how in the world did Kevin Federline wind up ono DETAIL'S Magazine as Father of the year? Now I know his Ex-wife has had her issues, but I got to believe there are definitely some better dads out there. But I guess I could be wrong... Secondly, go see Hitman if you are of age. It's quite entertaining and it doesn't involve too much thinking. So if you've had a long day and just want to kick back and watch an entertaining but not stresful movie, check it out. Third, there are ton's of good movies on the way! Clearly Will Smith's joint is going to be off the chains. Angelina Jolie has got a new one called Wanted coming out that looks hot as well, so I'm excited for those two. That's about all I got for now.... Oh yeah..I put a shooting drill video on the internet a few months back and for you guys who are new to the sport of lacrosse it could help you get a better understanding for the drills we do to improve our shooting. Here's the link! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdDAgUjBSA8 I'll catch up with you all later weekend. KH

By the way, good luck this year playing for the Pride. I live in Jersey, but the last time I went to a pride game was around four/five years ago when my youth team played at halftime. Since I won't be at school this year (long story) and I (most likely) won't be able to play, I figure I'll head up to Montclair and catch a few games. You were one of my favorite players to watch in college (despite being a princeton fan) and I hope you continue to benefit from your dedication and skill that's taken you this far.
