New K18 Head!

What's good YB!?! Sorry for the delayed post this week! I've been a little sick, and been back up in Hermosa trying to catch up on some work after a busy weekend down in San Diego.

Check out my new K18 head! Won't be out until the end of May, but I'm fired up about it and can't wait to shoot with it this week!

  Thanks man, I've fired up about it. I love both heads, but the stiffness of the new K18 head is what separates it from the previous head. Not too sure about pricing yet, but should know soon!

head looks awesome kyle got an idea of how much it'll be? ill probably get it but i also got to get a new helmet, looking at the warrior venom and it looks like a nice helmet so im probably gonna go with that,but anyway the head looks awesome and im lookin forward to buying it.have fun in Phoenix

Hey kyle the head looks awsome ill buy it if its not too expencive but hey do you know a good place to string up my head in maryland because if you just got that strung they did an awsome job!! plus is it only for a crankshaft or can i use it on a regular stick but the only way i can buy it if its 59.99 or less 69.00 tops

New head looks sick man... i was wondering if it was going to be NCAA legal for 2010.. none of the stick companies have made any statements about what is going to be legal for play next year so just wondering about it.... thanks

the side wall looks nice but the head it self looks a bit wide is that because of the new rules or is it just because you like it better that way ?

  What's up man? It's actually not all that wide, but the camera angle definitely made it look a bit wide! Take a look at the STX Viper's width and it's very similar to that.

hey man, looking to play field lax this year for the first time. been a box guy my whole life. got any tips on how to adjust?
also head looks great man. im a loyal stx guy been in love with the bionic for a long time but went to the viper and loving it. what the advantage of the crankshaft? i feel like it would be hard to get used to

  You'll be just fine at field. If you're a box guy, chances are your stick skills are better than the majority of the guys you're about to play field with. You'll pick up the game easily for sure. It's a lot easier for an box guy to head out to the field than it is for a field guy to head into box. Just listen to your teammates, watch a little college lacrosse and you'll be all set my man. The advantage of the crankshaft is that it gives you a quicker release and a top heavy feel when carrying the ball!

Looks great, Kyle! Just wondering... which of the CrankShafts do you personally use/recommend? I play box and field so I'm looking for something that can hold up to crosschecks. I currently have the X3 and the CrankShaft that came standard with it but I'm wondering if there's a better one out there. Thanks for the help! Much love.

As much as I love SouthSwell (and I do) if you're in SD and need a stick strung you have GOT to talk to Lyle Tomlinson. He's the only person I know in SoCal (or in the country for that matter) I'd let string my stick. Likewise if you're in AZ, Ryan Westfall and in NorCal, myself, Josh Rottman (shameless self-promotion), although I retract my earlier "grocery sack" comment in light of this new development either way.
On an entirely separate note, the UC Davis Men's Lacrosse Club has a youth clinic twice a year (Summer and Winter) for the Bay Area and Sacramento local middle and high school students. It has been a fund-raising tradition on our team for a decade now, but this year we would like to step it up a notch or two by offering the kids a few inspirational players like yourself out to instruct. The dates are TBA for a weekend during the end of June. I know you'll likely be in MLL season by then, however I was hoping if you were at all interested that we could discuss the matter further.
