Lazy Weekend
What's good YB? I hope everyone's having a good week thus far. I'm a little depressed after my Raven's took an L last night, but it happens. 2-1 isn't the end of the world, no need to hit any type of panic button. I know some people think our D is getting old, but those guys absolutely fly around man and they play as hard as they possibly can every play. It's inspiring to watch with out a doubt. It's been a pretty low key past week and a half for me which has been nice. I've been able to be home and get some work done, get caught up with laundry, get organized for me and Joey's winter camps, and just slowly get my life back together. We had an STX event in San Fran last weekend which was GREAT! We're sponsoring a youth league, the Firehawks, and we went out for their opening picnic to show them all of the new equipment and get them fitted for their season. The kids had a blast, I got to eat some great food, hang out with some good people, then hopped right back on a flight down to southern California for the rest of the weekend. Sunday, Brett and I went to this thing in Redondo Beach called the Lobster Festival, which was OFF THE CHAINS! Go some GREAT Lobster, heard some live music, watched some crazy wake borders, and saw an awkward fashion show! I've got a new found respect for wake borders and the concentration it must take to do the types of tricks these cats were doing. It was Body Gloves top 4 sponsored borders doing tricks in this small pond looking type thing, that had a big pole in the middle of it that I was almost positive one of these cats was going to run into. They were doing back flips and front flips and all kinds of other stuff, landing inches away from this pole, and smiling like it was nothing. I was digging it. It was all in all a great Sunday, and I ate some GREAT lobster, that's for sure. Check out the site at http://www.lobsterfestival.com/ ...and if you're in the area next year, make sure you come through as it was a great time. Pretty relaxed week for the most part here in Hermosa. Working a lot to come up with all of the concepts behind the K18 II line which will come out a year from now! I'm pretty fired up about it. I was just out of college when we made the first K18 line, and now that I've got a few years under my belt, and been a part of the process once, I'm excited to do it again and take it to the next level. I'll be sure to keep you all updated there. What do we think about Kanye's new single? I know it's been out for a minute, but I'm still not sold on it. I'd never hate on that cat though, I'm sure I'll come around and start liking it soon. Oh yeah, on my flight last weekend, I was doing a cross word puzzle, and there was a question asking what Superman CAN'T see through? Well, I thought I was pretty knowledgeable about Super hero's (especially that cat), but I was under the impression this dude could see through anything? Any idea what he can't see through? That's all for now, but I'll get at you all soon! KH Oh yeah, if you're old enough, go get Forgetting Sarah Marshall, it came out on DVD today. One of the funniest movies to come out in quite some time.
