LA Trade!
What's good everybody? I hope you guys had a good week and a great weekend. I wanted to check in and give you all a heads up on a pretty big career move that just happened to me. I got traded to the L.A. Riptide (MLL team)! With my move around the corner out to the L.A., it's awesome news that the trade was able to go through. Being a part of the New Jersey Pride (my former team) was a great experience for me and I learned a lot from the players and coaching staff there. The fans, as well as the organization treated me very well and made the transition into the professional league a very smooth one. With that being said, I'm extremely excited about the opportunity to play for the LA organization. The guys on the team are great people (and players) and it's the best run franchise in the league. They made it to the championship game last year and came up a goal short and I look forward to being able to contribute to the team however possible, and help to reach our goal of winning an MLL championship. With the chance to play along side of the most talented players (Spencer Ford, Sean Lindsey, Mike Watson, Gram Grill, etc.) in the game, I couldn't be happier about my current situation. I've been getting a lot of e-mails recently with kids asking me what do I think about doubters or haters. So, rather then write back to all of those e-mails, I figured the easiest thing to do would be to write it in my blog. To be completely honest, I don't really pay attention to them. They're doing their job, which is to "hate" or "doubt" people. You've got to be confident in yourself and know that it's just some random cat's opinion. If you watch Kat Williams (hilarious comedian) stand up act, he actually has a whole section on haters, it's pretty funny. I won't quote him because of some of the language, but, the bottom line is, keep it pushing and completely ignore people who try and knock you down. It's not even worth getting upset over, or wasting time reading or listening to what they say. Be confident in yourself and work hard to earn the respect of your teammates, and that's all that matters. I've also gotten a lot of questions asking about goals for the season, and I've got one. My sole goal is to win an MLL championship. Clearly, I want to play well individually, and contribute to my team as much as possible, but at the end of the day, all I want to do is win. If that means me playing a bunch of defense, or scoring goals, or dodging and moving the ball, or playing the wings of face off's, or anything else the team needs me to do, so be it. The season can't come soon enough. I spent my weekend down in Hilton Head with my old Hopkins coach, Coach Pietramala, doing a clinic for a local youth league. Well, I did the clinic with the kids, and Coach Petro had a coach's clinic in the school. It was awesome being able to catch up with him as it's been awhile since we've gotten to hang out. Anyone picked up a new Christmas CD recently? I'm trying to get in the Christmas spirit, but I'm not trying to listen to some old busted Christmas CD, so let me know if anyone's picked up a hot one. Oh yeah, remember the little guy that was running by me consistently on the last video I posted? We took a picture before I left, check it out? I'll catch up with you all soon. KH

The song is "Ludacrismas" by Ludacris. That's what's up.

I dunno if you'd heard them but there a pretty cool rock orchestra, they play a lot of Christmas music. I actually just saw them last night in concert. Lots of lights, smoke, lasers, and fireworks. It was awesome. Everything sounds better when there's an electric guitar in the background.
