Hamstring
YB! What's good everyone?! I hope the past week or so has gone well!
Unfortunately, my hamstring that injured back in week 3 of the season is STILL not 100%. In fact, I would say it's around 70%, maybe worse. You guys that have played sports know that these type of injuries just hang around and the only way for it to heal is give them the necessary time off. When I injured it originally, I took 2 games off and tried to rehab it and continue to work out, but that seems like it may have been detrimental. The most important thing to me is to help my team reach our goal of winning an MLL championship, and if that means sitting out our next game, and the All Star game to do so, then I'm going to do it. Luckily, we've got a bye in there as well, so if I can get it together in 3 weeks, I'll only have to miss one game, but we'll see. I've never really been injured before, it's a tough thing to do with for sure. Physically, it's weird not being able to move the way your used to moving. Last night in the game, I made a move, and then went to attack the cage and I simply couldn't do it....strange (and awful) feeling. Mentally, it's tough as well because you're constantly thinking about it and worrying about re-injuring it. Maybe thats a sign that it wasn't healed in the first place. Either way, I've got to stay positive, work hard and smart for the next few weeks, and try and get this thing together for the end of the season.
I'm assuming the majority of you guys were able to make it out to see Transformers?! I absolutely LOVED it! I think you've got to grow up watching it to really appreciate it. Michael Bay did an amazing job, as usual as the Director, but I actually read an interesting article about him the other day. He's already come out and said that he's ready to move on from the Transformer franchise, but the way the movie ends, there will definitely be another one! Hopefully the next Director will be able to do the Transformers justice the way way Michael Bay did.
I'm absolutely crushing the Twilight books right now! I know I know, yes, I'm a 26 year old male, leave me alone. I read the first one in a weekend trip to Denver, and now I've got about 100 pages to go in New Moon. I love that stuff! Such an easy read and it's pretty exciting as well. Looking forward to the new movie coming out this November! Speaking of movies, I plan on catching up at the theatre this week for sure. Still want to see The Proposal.
I'm sitting on the couch in Rochester at my boy Joe's house, trying to organized a few things for our camps coming up in the next few weeks. If you live in the Michigan area, be sure to come to our RUn N' Gun camp in Holland Michigan! Check out www.runngunlacrosse.com for details!
Anyway, time to watch the USA/Brazil Soccer game!
I'll get at you guys in a few days!
Have a great Sunday,
Kyle
