Food with an awkward Texture
What's goooooood YB?! I hope all is well!
I wanted to hop on and write on Monday, but I've been CRAZY busy moving into my new place in Marina Del Rey! It's coming together NICELY! I'll definitely post a blog later this week or early next week with pictures of the new spot! I'll attach one pic I took last night when I was walking out back to the pool area! it's SICK!
My weekend went well for the most part, just A LOT of lacrosse! We had US training team practice, so it was GREAT to get back out on the field with the fellas and play a bit. The way they're putting together this team is different then they've done in the past. Basically, 84 guys tried out for the team at the beginning of the summer, and from that, they picked 40 guys to be a part of the US Training team for the fall. We've got 3 weekends to play together/against each other, and then the coaching staff will pick the 23 with the best chemistry! Seems like a pretty smart way of doing it to me with out a doubt. Clearly, all the guys are talented enough, it's about finding the guys that play the best together and running with it! I had a blast this past weekend playing, and I look forward to the weekend of Oct 17th when we get to play together again back in Annapolis.
So, random title of this post, I know. I was sitting on the plane thinking and I've missed out on SO many GREAT foods in my life because I get weirded out by foods with strange textures! Anybody else deal with that sometimes? For 22 years of my life I DIDN'T eat guacamole because it looked like the strangest most awkward texture EVER. So, I stayed away. Same thing with Creme Brulee! That pudding looking texture along with that gross looking crust on top kept me away. Same situation with cheese cake, stuffing, and SO many more foods. You all ever had that problem?! Now, I'm obsessed with Guac, can't stop eating Crem Brulee, and while I haven't turned the corner completely with cheese cake, I'm headed that direction. I know, random thought, but I know refused to eat certain foods for the longest time simply because they looked gross, and they ended up being OFF THE CHAINS! So! I was wandering if anyone else has dealt with that?!
That's about all I got for now...I've got a CRAZY weekend coming up with a Playmaker program this weekend in ATL, then heading to Austin Texas Sun-Weds to promote the new K18 line with South Swell (local lacrosse retailer)!
I'll catch up with you guys later!

I've never been able to fully get down with okra, just because of the slime. I also don't like mushrooms -- chewy mess.

Kyle, your mash-up sounded fine until the strawberry jelly....
