Feeling naked down in FL....
I was down in FL for the past 6 days, and it was GORGEOUS! It was a bit more humid then I would have liked, but I can't complain man, that place is incredible. I was in Orlando for a few days (which I've been to several times), then to Tampa for a day, and then to the best part of the trip, to Sarasota. In Tampa and Orlando, I stopped by a few lacrosse specialty stores and checked out the lacrosse scene down there, and then at night usually headed to a local field and put on a big clinic for a couple hundred kids. It was definitely a lot of fun and it's awesome for me having the opportunity to bounce around the country and see lacrosse starting to grow in all of these new area's. I met a few kids down there that couple easily come up to Baltimore/NY (the two hotbeds of lacrosse) and compete with kids up there, so that was GREAT to see. Once I got down to Sarasota, my family came! Wooohooo! I can't remember the last time we were all in the same place and got to spend a few days in a row all together! Sarasota was BEAUTIFUL, as you'll see in the video that will be posted in the next few days. For the most part, it was a VERY quiet area with not too much going on (at least where we were it was pretty chill, not much going on). When we'd walk out of the condo on to the beach there were like 12 people total I counted on the whole beach, it was amazing. The only problem was there was NO TV! WHAAAAAAAAAAT! I know i know, that should be that big a deal, but I was struggling! My little niece wakes up so early, so the only way to keep her occupied in the morning so we can stay relaxin in bed is to put on Elmo, so we had to buy a DVD and put it on my computer. Which brings me to my next issue, I couldn't get on the internet! I had NO idea what was going on in the world, no idea who won college football games saturday, no idea bout NFL sunday...it was definitely not a great feeling. I couldn't even access the internet through my phone! I felt absolutely naked! I guess at the same time it was a good thing to be away for a bit. I got to spend some much needed quality time with my family, and if I had the my phone/internet up and going, I'm sure I would have spent a lot of time checking e-mails and that sort of thing, so I guess it all worked out well. I've been playing catch up this morning tryign to see what I missed! I heard the Raven's lost...that's not good news at al. I also heard not only did we loose, but we looked awful, but I'm not jumping to conclusions yet I'll check out the tape when I get time tonight. Any other good games go down yesterday I need to look into? Any good games in College football that I missed saturday? I'm sure there were. The most annoying form of advertising has GOT to be 'blow-in' ads (the one's that when you open the magazine they just fall out). I'd be interested to know how many subscriptions magazines really get off of those. I can't stand those things. When you buy one of the larger magazine's, they are literally every few pages and they just fall right out. I can honestly say that I have NEVER taken the time to read one. I've definitely glanced at one if Carmen Electra is chillin on it or something like that, but 9 times out of ten, I ball it up and stick it in the trash. I guess these magazine people can hope that the blow in simply falls out and that ad's for their magazine are just scattered all over the street and that in itself is a form of advertising I guess. Seem's stupid to me. I hope they aren't expensive to do, because they can't be getting to much out of them. I was reading Men's Vogue last night on the plane and the newest issue has got Denzel on the cover! Cat is so talented and it was nice to read an article about him, with him being out of the spot light for a bit. His new movie on November 2nd is definitely going to be the jump off, I can't wait. Anyone who is a fan of Denzel know's this cat has got a bad walk man, and this writer Trop Patterson, has the best explanation of it I've ever heard! It caputures it perfectly in this article..he makes the comment, "an unstoppable swagger with a hint of military bearing and nothing to prove.." That statement captures everything about that walk! That's some serious writing, I got all fired up on the plane reading it. If your a Denzel fan, or just a fan of good writing, pick up that magazine and read that article, you won't be dissapointed. Not too much else going on, on my end. I've got a pretty hard work out coming up today which I'm not terribly excited about. Who is everyone going with tonight? Is it even going to be a good game? I've got Prison Break to watch at 8pm, so I'll miss the beginning of it anyway. Any good new songs out? I feel like after this FL trip I am OUT of the loop completely... I'm headed to Phoenix AZ this weekend for a few days, and it's homecoming at ASU so I think I'm going to the football game! I'm pretty jacked up, should be a lot of fun! Keep your eye out for that video in the next few days...my sister has a nice instrcutional tip for you all... Have an aweosme week, and I'll catch up with you in a day or two! Here's a pic from one of my shooting demo's in Tampa... KH ps. oh yeah, some kid I talked to in Tampa brought up Silver Surfer in the super hero discussion...I wasn't thrilled! That guy is mean when he's on his surf board, but once that thing is out of the picture he's just like your kid brother jumping off the jungle jim trying to fly, it ain't happening!

Also, being so close to DC, are you listening to Wale yet? If not, download his mixtape, 100 Miles and Running. You wont be disappointed.
