Back in L.A.
YB!!!!! What's the deal?!
I hope everyone's Monday is going well. I landed in L.A., from Annapolis last night at about 1:45am, so I'm exhausted! But, life goes on, stuff to do, things to catch up on, you know how it goes!
I had a pretty solid weekend back east with the US Training Team. I got in on Thursday night and was able to head over to my parents house and catch up with them which was great. Happy Birthday Dad! My dad turned 60 on Saturday, so it was definitely a good thing being able to see him on the big b-day weekend. On Saturday, the US Training squad practiced with the Navy team, which was a lot of fun. Navy's got some great players and is clearly one of the most respected programs in the country. Saturday evening, we had a reception with the 74' and 78' US teams, so it was great to be around all of those great players. Not to mention the food at the reception was OFF THE CHAINS. Sunday, we split the training team (41 guys) into two teams and played MD, Navy and UVA. It was good to play and get up and down. All of those programs are going to have huge years, as they all have a lot of talented players. We've got one more weekend of US training team camp which will be at Stony Brook on October 30th.
Unfortunately, my travel doesn't slow down too much this week. I'm heading to Seattle on Thursday to do some K18 events, then to NorCal for some K18 events on Friday night, and then flying right to Denver on Saturday morning because the Denver Outlaws (my pro team) are playing DU's team, so that should be a lot of fun! I'm fired up as it will be the first time I get to play in a game and WEAR MY OWN EQUIPMENT!!!! Wooohooo! The pro league isn't sponsored by STX or Nike, so I'm never able to actual wear my equipment in a real game situation. But, this Saturday will be the first time I toss on the new K18 line and get my lax on! I know, seems small, but I'm pretty excited about it.
Anything new going on with you guys? I wish I had some more to report, not too much new with me. I'm settled into my apartment which is great. I got a bunch of new LIVESTRONG and TIger Woods Nike apparel in the mail a few days back, so thats always exciting stuff.
I got two songs I'm into right now...I can Transform ya (Chris Brown, Weezy), and What a Catch (Fall out boy), that I CAN'T stop listening to for some reason. I saw the music video for What a Catch last week at my parents house and instantly liked the song. Also, check out the Drop It Low video (Ester Dean featuring Chris Brown), it's a good one as well.
I know there have been far more educated baseball people who have written about this already, but how ridiculous is A-rod? Honestly, it's getting a little out of control how clutch homeboy is. I'm not even into baseball, but I've definitely enjoyed watching playoff baseball, especially the Yankee's. I'm not going to jump on the bandwagon and go as far to say I'm a fan, but it's been entertaining for sure.
That's about all I've got, need to get some work done!
Catch up with you all soon!
